NWISM stands for, “Northwest Indiana Social Media,” an online resource written by Northwest Indiana business leaders who leverage social media as well as other elements of internet marketing to to grow their business and stimulate area economic awareness & technological education.

NWISM’s Goals Are Simple:

1. Provide an online educational resource for Northwest Indiana Businesses as well as anyone around who happens to find us:  Businesses in the 21st century have learned that “local” no longer solely pertains to geography. Online communities have helped bridge buyers and sellers across the globe. NWISM operates with the hope that Northwest Indiana businesses utilize the provided instruction to grow their businesses online. We also hope that the site makes it easier for online business communities to engage with us. 
2. Maintain an active dialogue for online marketing and technological topics:  it’s like an online water cooler:  you never know who just might stop by.
3. Promote Area Networking Events, Workshops, Meetups & Tweetups:  Maintained and operated by Panorama Entertainment Magazine of Nortwest Indiana, the comprehensive NWISM calendar gives up-to-date information on the noteworthy events of the area
4. “#HoldMeAccountable” – ever since the first days of #NWITweetup, the goal has been the same:  To get Northwest Indiana ahead of the curve in technology & business. NWISM is the next logical step – a place where businesses can keep each other aprised of the latest tricks and trends in the industries. With the website, we help keep each other accountable for staying current with the goings on.
